Sisters. Sisters. (Feel free to burst into song for those of you who are old enough/cultured enough to sing along with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye).
These two crazies are the best of friends most of the time, but when they aren't, they sure know which buttons to push to elicit the most pain and suffering from each other. But isn't that usually the case? The folks closest to us can either cause the most grief and stress or be the biggest help and comfort.
As I'm working through CS Lewis's Screwtape Letters in Bible class, we have worked through several chapters where the demon continues to use the closest relationships to destroy the main character's faith. And Satan would love to do the same for you and I as well. Remember John 10:10...Satan has three goals: steal, kill, destroy. But Jesus came that we may have life to the full.
May we be a blessing to those closest to us, and may God use our words and actions to point everyone--especially our loved ones--to a closer relationship with God.
