Ezri truly thought he was bringing the supplies for smores.

Instead what he actually brought was a bag of powdered sugar instead that is also kept right beside the home for marshmallows. He was soooo excited...only to be sooo disappointed. When we asked him to hand us a marshmallow, he was quite confused until he realized SOMETHING was wrong. Once he realized he was not getting any smores out of the treasures he had brought, he had a choice: take the mistake back up and get the REAL thing he needed, or simply keep pretending what he had was correct. Of course, that fallacy is quickly over once you actually go to make the smores...reminded me that once you realize the train you're on is going the wrong direction, the sooner you get off, the better off you'll be.
God has goodness for us--but today might be the day we need to make sure we're actually on the right track for all the goodness we desire. It can be hard to come to grips with the fact you were wrong, but smores cannot be made with powdered sugar.
