Devotion for March 24, 2022 - Amazing!

Amazing!

As we were playing outside this past week, Maggie was learning to ride her bike with training wheels for the first time. She was THRILLED to say the least! She kept riding and riding and smiling and smiling.

But then she stopped suddenly, got off her bike, and it happened so quickly I rushed over to make sure she was OK. When I got there, she was sitting on the ground, petting a small weed that had started growing between the cracks in the driveway . . . you know, the very weeds we work hard to GET RID OF ALL SUMMER.

But here was Maggie, telling me, "Daddy, isn't it amazing! The plants are coming back! Winter is over!" I did not have the heart to tell her that predicting the end of winter in the middle of March is a dangerous game in Western Pennsylvania. (Especially ironic now that they're calling for snow this weekend!)

There she was, caught up in the middle of awe for what God does, and I was not gonna take that moment away from her.

Not sure if you had the chance to see the sky or sunset or rainbow tonight here in the Johnstown area, but they were beautiful reminders of God's goodness. Psalms 19:1 says, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Make sure to take some time to stand or sit or just revel in God's majesty today.
