Two of the memory verses my Bible students had to memorize last week were 1 Peter 2:2-3, "Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good."
Oren is no longer a newborn and is very interested in "big people food." He especially has quickly discovered that Daddy's cookies are also really good! So good he will crawl to get them. So good he will climb to get them. So good he will cry and swing his arms and kick when you take them away from him because we do not let him have chocolate!
It reminded me of when Ez learned to crawl to get Mommy's cookies. Or when Parks learned to walk to get the bites of pizza strategically placed around the living room.
Motivation is a powerful tool.
May we be motivated to do what needs done. To grow. To learn. To love. To listen. To sacrifice. To share. To show forgiveness even when it hasn't been asked for. May the sweetness of God change us so much that we cannot help but taste and see, then quickly share his goodness with others.
